8th Grade Bridging Information

The Bridging Ceremony and Dance are the culminating events for our 8th graders. Our goal is to have 100% participation, but also to emphasize the importance of the day. With this in mind, we would like to clarify the expectations.

1)  Any student failing 2 or more core classes for the year is a candidate for retention. Students who are being retained will not participate in the Bridging Ceremony or the Dance. Students who are failing 2 or more core classes for the year must complete the required work in order to be promoted to high school. These students will not be attending the Bridging Ceremony or the Dance. This will be calculated on May 19. May School will be during the day the following week.

2)  Any student owing money to the school (library, cafeteria, book fines, etc…) will have to pay the fine before participating in the Bridging Dance.
