The Kenton County School District has as one of its three main goals that each child, beginning in 4th grade, be involved in a meaningful activity beyond the classroom. Research and statistics show that students who are involved in school and/or community activities earn better grades, attend school more regularly, and are less likely to drop out of school. At Fort Wright, we embrace Goal 3 and make every effort for all students to discover their unique sense of “belonging” to the Fort Wright learning community through classroom and extracurricular activities. This new page on our website will feature a variety of school and community activities and events** that your child might consider. We are also being eco-friendly by providing this information electronically, replacing the paper copies that come home in your child’s backpack. If you need a paper copy, please contact the office, and we’ll be happy to print one and send it home with your child.
