The Kentucky Department of Education is offering an ACT retake free of cost to all seniors enrolled in Kentucky public schools. This is optional for all seniors and the exam will be administered during the school day on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, to seniors at Dixie Heights High School, Scott High School, and Simon Kenton High School.
The Kenton County Student Nutrition program has been able to provide free meals to all students through federal waivers for the past two years. The waivers have now expired and the district must return to our normal school lunch program that offers students free, reduced, and paid meals. This is not a local decision and the expiration of the federal waivers affects schools across the country. The district will resume free, reduced, and full paid meals on August 17th, 2022.
The mission of the Kenton County School District is to provide a world-class education ensuring ALL students are transition ready and prepared for the 21st Century Economy.
