Letter from the Superintendent - Nov. 18

Thank you for your continued amazing efforts for our kids. TEAM KENTON, you are always outstanding, however, since the middle of March you have simply being extraordinary. On behalf of our 14,000+ kids we simply cannot thank you enough.

You may be aware that the Governor just shared he is issuing an executive order to close all public and private schools to in-person learning starting on November 23rd and ending on January 4th . We will comply with the directive and as a result all schools will be closed to in-person learning beginning Monday, the 23rd through January 4th . However, we will bring Elementary Schools back on December 7 th if our county is not in the “red/critical” phase as allowed by the order. We will keep everyone updated on this situation moving forward.

TEAM, the pandemic continues to be very challenging for everyone. While I regret that we cannot serve our kids inperson I know that they will continue to receive high quality teaching/learning and support opportunities daily from our amazing TEAM! We will return to full time synchronous learning and follow the same protocols that we followed before we returned to in-person learning on 9/28/20. We have had success in this model and I am confident that we will continue to grow and deliver high quality teaching/learning and support to our kids. I am confident due to the incredible growth mindset of TEAM KENTON!

Lastly, once again, thank you for what you do for our kids each and every day. TEAM KENTON IS STRONG and we will GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER!
