The Kenton County School District is pleased to announce Matthew “Matt” Rigg has been selected to the position of Chief Operations Officer effective July 1, 2023. 

Matt has served Kentucky K-12 Public Education and northern Kentucky students for 17 years, five of which have been with the Kenton County School District. During this time, his career progression has included roles as substitute teacher, high school business teacher, Assistant Director of Human Resources, Director of Human Resources, Executive Director of Human Resources, and Executive Director of Operations. Prior to his time in public education, Matt held management roles in the financial and hospitality industries.

Matt received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Northern Kentucky University where he was named “Most Outstanding Student” of his graduating cadre. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree, also from Northern Kentucky University, majoring in Business Management and minoring in Business Administration.

Matt currently resides in Florence, KY with his wife of 21 years, Beth.
