Biomedical Sciences Academy
Sara Anderson began her education career in 2003 by teaching Biology 101 labs at her alma mater, Ohio State. This is her fifth year at the Biomedical Sciences Academy where she teaches advanced chemistry and courses from Project Lead the Way Biomedical Curriculum—Principles of Biomedical Sciences and Medical Interventions. In addition to being certified to teach all four of PLTW’s Biomedical courses, she is licensed to teach Biology and Chemistry, as well as the AP level of those subjects. After obtaining her BS in Biology from Ohio State, she went on to earn an MS in Secondary Education from Indiana University. She is currently finishing her EdS degree at Northern Kentucky University. Sara loves to teach her students that being a nerd is awesome, almost as awesome as genetics which is her favorite unit to teach. In her free time she enjoys playing music, baking, and being crafty.
